Book Description:

A SPY RUNNING FOR HER LIFE

Nicola is an injured CIA agent on the run from a failed undercover operation.  Her escape plan shatters when she slams into the man who buried her a decade ago.  Cash Garrison.  Her first and only love.  Now, sexier than her best memory and cradling a sniper's rifle, he has questions she can't answer.  Why was she alive? And armed?

AND THE MAN SHE COULD NEVER SEE AGAIN
Cash is an elite member of a black ops organization, The Titan Group.  He thought Nicola died his senior year of college and swore off love to focus on a decade of military missions.  But when she shows up behind enemy lines, bleeding out and wielding a weapon, his heart and mind are unsure how to proceed.

BATTLE BETRAYAL TO SAVE THEMSELVES
Titan and the CIA join forces to uncover a mole hidden in a network of international terrorists and homegrown mobsters, teaming Cash and Nicola again.  They fight old wounds and re-ignite sparks while closing in on a double agent.  When disaster strikes, Nicola's hidden past makes her the hunted target and Cash's best kill shot may not be enough to save them.

My Thoughts :

Let's start with one of my favorite quotes :

"Faster than Cash could take out a target with Miss Betty, this day had gone from for-the-records-book awesome to knee-in-the-nuts awful. "

There is nothing I like more than a giggle in my romance.  Just the wording of that sentence alone made me wish people talked more like that in real life.  How fun would that be?  I think I'm going to start saying knee-in-the-nuts awful.. ha!  Loved it !

Garrison's Creed is the second book in the Titan's series.  I absolutely loved Winter's Heat (book 1) , you can read my review here.  The second book does not disappoint!  While we don't get a lot of interplay with outside characters quite as much, I was thrilled that this book focused on  Cowboy Cash.  Something about him in the first book was love at first read.  That slow drawl, the way he held his sniper... :sigh:.  I have a soft spot for military men, even if it's just previous military men.

Once again Cristin has managed to bring us jaw dropping suspense that has us on the edge of our seat , holding on tight from all the twists and turns.  Throw in the romance that has been on hold for a decade but takes off with 10 years of yearning.  Explosive!!!

There is so much that I loved in this book but I don't want to give away the entire book so I'll just be brief :
The characters-

Nicola -  a strong woman who is a force to be reckoned with on her own.  She's not afraid to stand up to Cash, who's typical military/alpha man wants to constantly step in front of her and protect her.  Another strong female who has no fear when taking on the head of Titan (Jared) is always going to be someone I will love!   The author is definitely filling my bucket with things that I can't get enough of -- strong females, military/alpha males, suspense and some great romance!  As I mentioned with my quote- the dialogue is exceptional!!

Cash - strong, sexy, BUILT, alpha male with a soft spot a mile long. He tends to be a typical alpha male and disagreements between men start and end with his fists.  But the man has a soft romantic side that makes you just swoon.

Extras-  again we only get smaller mentions on the side characters like Sugar (big surprise coming up there!) and Jared.  I might have wished we would have got a little more of how things are going with Mia & Colby...  Regardless, I love all the other characters and can't wait for their stories!

I definitely recommend this series to anyone who likes military suspense romance !!  This series just keeps getting better and better, I can't wait to read the next in the series!
