My Thoughts :

Whew!  Catherine has done it yet again!  I know I keep declaring that THIS installment is my favorite and then a new book comes out and I change my mind.   As of right now, this is my favorite Weekday Brides book.  :sigh:   Honestly, I think it's getting to know the characters a little bit in previous books that makes getting their personal stories so much better!

I have always felt that all the Weekday Bride books can be read alone.  But reading them as the series (in the correct order *ahem*) makes them so much more.  I never know what to expect when reading a series.. There is always the hope that each book gets a little better and the worry that a middle book in the series will fall flat and ruin the series for you.  Quite honestly, I never have that worry with Catherine!  She has proven with each new book that it will be even better than the last and you'll fall in love with her work all over again.

I read this book in one sitting. I don't think I even came up for air!  Knowing that Single by Saturday was going to be Karen & Michael's story, I've been wondering for months how this would work.. Karen is 'fake' married to Michael who is quite gay.  Never did I ever imagine that Karen would fall in love with Hollywood heartthrob Michael's just as hunky brother!  Talk about complications galore!    Zach is completely adorable and beyond sexy.  The chemistry between Karen and Zach starts the moment they meet and you immediately start falling in love with them.. The only catch?  Karen is still married to Michael.. oh and his family doesn't know he's gay..  Just a teeny problem, right?

There is so much going on in this book.  Teenage runaways , backstory on Karen, Michael coming to terms with his family...  The problem I always have with writing a review on one of Catherine's books is that I can't shut up.  I just go on and on.. So I am shutting up now and just telling you to go read it!  I promise you won't regret it.

The story, the chemistry, the friendship, the trust and love.. the interaction between characters... There is absolutely nothing missing in this one.

This man was gorgeous, and if she were one to believe in instant attraction, her body responded to him with a fierceness she didn’t think possible. Maybe this was what the women gazing at Michael experienced that she did not. This wild thrill of discovery that led to possibilities only the big screen could fulfill.

Instead of letting her imagination get the best of her, Karen flattened a hand over her stomach and attempted to act unaffected. “Do I know you?”

The sex personified blue-eyed man stepped toward her. It took effort for her to hold her ground.

Sensing her unease, he held still, looked around the both of them as if noticing the caterers running about and guests arriving behind him, and said simply, “Zach Gardner.”

The smile on her face stayed. The name tickled at the edges of her consciousness. Memories flashed behind the veil of her mind until she narrowed her focus. “Michael’s brother?” she whispered.

Zach gave a small nod and swept his eyes down her frame. When his eyes met hers again, he masked whatever he’d been thinking, then he smiled and said, “And you’re the wife none of us have met.”

Not a lot shook Karen. She’d managed the role of Michael’s wife under the ever-present scrutiny of paparazzi, producers, actors, and fans . . . but the man standing in front of her did what no one else could. He made her question her decision to marry.
