Blurb:

Laugh at divorced dad Austin Carr, a funny, oversexed scamp who'll do anything to get his kids back.  Think Bugs Bunny with guns and a penis.

Divorced dad Austin Car wakes up every day in a beat-up camper, parked on someone else's private property.  Why? Because his alimony and child support payments were established by New Jersey's family court system when his income was double, and for the last two years he has failed to earn the legally mandated monthly nut.  He's had his savings drained, his Maxima repossessed, his salary attached, and his visiting rights suspended.  He bought the twelve-year-old Chevy pick-up with the rusty camper for $800 last month because another landlord tossed his butt in the street.  Will stretching the rules, his own morals, and the boundaries of common sense  raise the cash needed to get his kids back?  Or will his big mouth and bad behavior set him up for a nasty double-cross?  See if Austin can redeem himself and win back his children.

My Thoughts :

Let me start with this by saying that this is not my normal genre of choice. I am a romance/smut reader.. Sure I like some mystery but I prefer the top genre to be romance.. Still, something about the blurb made me want to try Big Numbers.  I am certainly glad that I did!

Austin Carr is a goof-ball stock broker who is in some seriously bad times.  Living in a camper, parked in the back of a mexican restaurant and unable to see his kids except when he sneaks in (sometimes in a speedo).  You can't help but laugh at Austin's off the wall attempts and shake your head at his constant bad decisions.  But you will love him strictly based on his love for his children.  Everything he does is with the ultimate goal of being reunited with his children.. How can you  not love that in a guy?

The book is full of twisting and turning mystery.  Just when you think you have it all figured out, the author jabs you with a new twist.  How many people can be after one man? I was constantly surprised and kept on my toes!

In the mood for a good mystery?  Give Big Numbers a shot!!
