Lecie de Laurent is dying to cut the apron strings and strike out on her own. With the house and the money she's inherited from Edouard Renault, she finally has her chance without financial repercussions from Papa. California is an intoxicating place for the sheltered, high society girl from France, and she's not ready to leave when her father insists she return home. Lecie's father, Maurice de Laurent is a powerful man who will stop at nothing to get what he wants--just ask her brothers, Julian and Andre. When Maurice threatens to have Lecie deported (thinking she'll come home), Lecie retaliates in true de Laurent fashion.

Nick Matthews desperately needs cash, after his fiancée leaves him deeply in debt the day before their wedding. On the verge of losing his popular restaurant, Nick decides to seek out an investor to help pay off the debt.

The answer to both their problems just might be wrapped up in The Marriage Fix.

My Thoughts :

The Marriage Fix is the third book in the Billionaire Games series.  This book focuses on Lecie de Laurent, the only girl in the de Laurent family.  Growing up with a very controlling father, Lecie is thrilled when his controlling ways accidentally net her the very thing she wishes for- her freedom.  A late uncle has gifted her not only with an inheritance, leaving her wealthy on her own and no longer dependent on her father, but also a lovely ocean side home in California.   She is loving California life, free from the suffocating reins of her father - free to have a crush on the hunky local bartender/restaurant owner, Nick.  Too bad he's getting married soon .

Lecie's father is not happy with her newfound freedom and will resort to anything -even deportation- to get her back home and under his thumb.  He didn't count on his daughter being just as defiant as him though.

When Nick's upcoming marriage is canceled and he is in need of some financial help to keep his restaurant, it's a win - win situation!

I absolutely adored this story. The characters were likeable - from Lecie and her strong will and ability to stand up to her father , to adorable Nick who is not only hunky but a sensitive guy (without appearing wimpy) who doesn't want to take advantage of her. I love the whole - marry for money / fall in love type stories so this one really worked for me!   I've seen a few reviews that felt the book lagged in the beginning.  Honestly, I didn't see that at all. I felt it kept a good pace building up as it went along.

This book is a 'clean' book.  No steamy sex scenes, but surprisingly enough- it didn't need it.  It was still a wonderful romance and you felt the chemistry between the characters sizzling!
