 Interview :

Let’s start out easy.. Tell us a little bit about your book.

My book is about a college girl named Meara Falk. She’s on a college campus full of gorgeous girls, but she doesn’t quite fit. She’s plump and geeky, but that doesn’t stop her from a one night stand that changes her life. She has a baby, is turned into a werewolf, and then loses her baby to a rival werewolf pack. Now she is trying to get her baby back.
Wowsas!  I need to read this one!  (sorry, I haven't had a chance yet! lol).  I feel for Meara already!

What inspired you to write this story?

My first inspiration was the book Taming the Wolf by Stephanie Nelson. I read her book and thought that it would be amazing to write one as well. Thanks to her story, I spent countless nights dreaming about werewolves until I woke up one night with what I felt was a unique story that just had to be written down.
 I love Stephanie!!  She's a great inspiration!

What is the main lesson that your book is trying to teach?

Hmmm…I don’t know that I have a lesson I am trying teach anyone. I suppose if I had to pick something it would be don’t get drunk and end up in bed with a stranger. You just don’t know how your life might change.
Ha!  So true.  Not only pregnant but with now a werewolf to boot!

Moving on to your writing career, how long have you been writing? Did you always dream to become an author?

I have been writing for my blog Identity Discovery since December 2011, but I have two college degrees that required a lot of writing in order to graduate. You could say I have been writing all my life because of school. In terms of writing books, I have only been writing for a year.
I have always wanted to be one of two things, an author or some author’s inspiration. I love the idea of being someone’s muse, but since that has yet to happen, I happily decided to write my own book.
Kudos!  Two college degrees? Wow! You have worked hard!

I’m always curious whether or not authors read the same types of books that they write.  So tell us, what book genres do you love to read? to write?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE paranormal romance. I will pick up a werewolf book over all other books out there. This is my writing genre so far because I feel like I have done a lot of research on this topic through my reading of other paranormal authors. I haven’t tried to write anything else…yet.

What are you reading right now?

I am actually in between books. I write a lot of book reviews, so I have been reading a variety of different genres. The next book on my list to review is Learning to Trust by Cynthia P. O’neill.

Have any particular authors inspired you to write? If so, can you name one and what you like about their style?

Stephanie Nelson is my primary inspiration. I love her character development and writing style. I feel like it is easy to understand without using big words just for the heck of it.
 :)  Love her!

Do you have any upcoming projects?

I am currently going through my first round of edits for the second book in my Pure Blood series which is called Atonement. Once that is ready to go off to the editor, I will be outlined the third book in the series as well as possibly starting a vampire book. The vampire book is in a very rough stage in my head, so I am not sure when it is going to be my primary project.
Oooh Vampire!!   It sounds like you are going to be pretty busy writing for a while!!   Thanks so much for stopping by today! I enjoyed our chat!
