This is the part of the whole writing career I find the hardest. Unfortunately for me, I’m quite shy and find it hard to speak to people I don’t know. I’ve always said if I have to go on book tours, I would have to hire an actress to pretend to be me, as I’m pretty sure no one would want to see me shaking and slurring my words out. There is one thing though that I have managed to change since I've started writing, and that’s my ability to stick to things. Because being a writer means learning how to edit, becoming a promoter of your own book. Because it doesn't matter how long you sit watching your sales reports; no sales will enter unless you spend hours of your day trying to get it noticed.

I’ve learnt that writing is not the hard part but what comes after, that is what really tries your insanity. Unlike many other authors, I’ve had to do this on my own. My family aren't very big readers, and it took my husband a year before he stopped telling everyone that I was writing a vampire story( there's not one vampire in my novel lol) so I think what I’m trying to say is never give up. Even when people roll their eyes at you for being a writer, or tell you that maybe you should get a back-up plan in case things don’t work out, take their negativity and turn into a positive, show them that they're wrong, its your dream only you can make it happen.
