Variety is good.

Warning:  Adultish stuff is talked about.. I do say sex, nookie and probably other words that might send you scampering away shaking your head that Momma actually said that.. Be warned and proceed with caution.

When I was given the opportunity to write about sex toys thru Eden Fantasys, I first thought cool but that was quickly followed up with Uhmm me? Really?

I mean obviously I am a shy little bird.. What do I know about that type of stuff?  Absolutely nothing.  Yep, I'm a 'toy' virgin.   Shocked, aren't ya.  Yeah, I know.. I just ooze with sophistication.  *snort*

Srsly, they could make a movie out of my life  my very sheltered life and it would be so boring that they'd probably quit making it after reading the script.

I have been married 15yrs to the one and only boy I ever kissed (or anything else).  So yeah, experience isn't really my forte.

Still I was intrigued.  I wanted to know more.  Yep, I'm curious.. 16 years of nookie with the same man- while great, can always use a little variety.

So I went to their website and looked around a bit.  It wasn't as scary as I thought it might be. I actually felt at ease in on their website.  It's very easy to manage and navigate.  Plus oohh candles !! and books !! Cuz we all know how I like books :)  It's not all toys that make me giggle in an embarrassed I-have-no-clue-what-the-hell-that-is type way. Plus they have live help at the top for those of us that are completely clueless :)

It was a virtually painless experience and I'm thinking of going back again!  Now I won't tell you what I got because hello, Momma isn't into that.. But I encourage you to check it out yourself :)  To each, his (or her) own.  If you want to comment and give me suggestions for my next trip there, feel free!

*Disclaimer- All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. I did receive a free product from Eden Fantasys in exchange for this post. *

In Scandal They Wed

 In Scandal They Wed
Author - Sophie Jordan
Genre - Historical Romance ( mid 1800's England)
My Rating- *****

I'm just going to come out and say it. I absolutely loved this book.  I did put it in a book cover because the photo on the back is just not something I'm going to be flashing at PTO (not that I am a pto mom, but you get the point..)

Evie sacrifices her dreams to become a mother to her nephew. Saving him from being thrown out, she is the only mother he's ever known.  She never imagined quite the trouble her assumed identity would lead to until she finds herself married to Spencer Lockhart (cousin & best friend of  her son's father and a Viscount to boot!).

Many twists and turns are in the road ahead as Evie first tries to keep the truth of her real identity to herself and then falls in love and tries to figure out how to tell him.  This is one of those books that I'm going to say- just go read it yourself. It has excellent writing and a wonderful story!

Happy Reading !

Book List 5

Books, books and more books.   I just can't seem to help myself.  Life gets stressful and the best escape is into a book.  A romance novel is best for life's biggest stresses, or at least that's what I find.  There's nothing like all out romantic love to put a smile on your face ;)

Blogger is holding some of my reviews hostage (hmmph!!) but hopefully I'll be able to finish editing them and get them up soon.

Until then, here's the latest list of books that my lovely local library gave me.  Whatever would I do without a library? I'd be in the poorhouse that's for sure!

Over Hexed (The Hex Series, Book 1)

Wild & Hexy (The Hex Series, Book 2)

First Comes Marriage

First Comes Marriage

Author : Mary Balogh
Genre:  Historical Romance
My Rating: ***½

I enjoyed this one. It talked about overcoming the fear of being hurt in the past and being able to love again.  Naturally it was set in England and while I don't recall seeing a date it was in the days of Dukes and Viscounts, of having one's first Season in London.  It was refreshing and being me, I plowed right thru it! :)  I'm only sad that when I looked up this author (a new one for me), my library has only books #1 (this one),#3 & 5 in this series but not #'s 2 or 4.  :sigh:  I so hate reading series out of order :(

When the Viscount of Lyngate arrives in the small village of Throckbridge everyone is left wondering why he is there.  Little do they know but the Huxtable family (Margaret, Vanessa, Katherine & Stephen) is about to have their lives turned upside down when it's revealed that the youngest is now the new Earl of Merton.  They are whisked away to begin Stephen's training in how to become a Lord of the realm and learn what is in store for them.  Having been orphaned many years prior, the siblings have grown to rely on each other and themselves as they grew up and so naturally they face this new challenge together.

Viscount Lyngate ( Elliott Wallace) is in need of a wife but has given up on love. When it is suggested that it would be easiest to take one of the Huxtable girls as his wife, Vanessa jumps in to sacrifice herself in order to spare her older sister Margaret who already is in love with another.   Little would either of them know that it would end in a love match.

Love Letters From A Duke

Author: Elizabeth Boyle
Genre: Historical Romance ~ 1800's England
My Rating:  ****½

Elizabeth Boyle is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.  I absolutely love this series.  This one is the first in a series which I accidentally skipped right onto the second (Confessions of a Little Black Dress ) without even knowing it.  Definitely put it on your list to go read!

In this romance, we meet Felicity Langley who is lovingly dubbed "Duchess".  Felicity keeps a meticulous journal of eligible bachelors and sets about some matchmaking, her own included.    When she decides that the future Duke of Hollindrake is who she should marry, she sets out to gain his attention by writing him letters.  After years of letters and being almost engaged, he finally shows up in London.  Little does she know that she has really been corresponding with his grandfather (now deceased) and her almost fiancee has been off to war.  Thatcher is fresh from war and finds himself practically betrothed to a complete stranger. He immediately goes to her home to call it off, only to be mistaken for a new footman and put to work.

It's refreshing to watch them fall in love. Felicity is determined to marry a duke and yet is feeling drawn to her own footman.  Life isn't always what you expect.

As always, if you get this one please come back and tell me what you thought!

           Happy Reading,
