Desires of a Perfect Lady

Desires of a Perfect Lady
Author-  Victoria Alexander
Genre- Historical Romance (late 1800's England)
My Rating- ****

Olivia was all set to marry the Earl of Wyldewood only to have her dreams killed when she was forced to marry another.  Ten years later, she is free from the nightmare marriage but needs help to claim what is rightfully her inheritance.  The only person she can turn to is the man that abandoned her when she needed him most.

In this story we get to follow Olivia and Sterling (Early of Wyldewood) on their journey to Egypt and Italy as they attempt to complete three of her deceased husband's collections as a stipulation of his twisted will.  Sterling has learned the truth of Olivia's marriage to another man and vows to win back her love.  Will she be able to forgive him?

I greatly enjoyed this one.. If you read it, come back and tell me your opinion :)

Happy Reading!

Tis the season!

It's that time of year.. Halloween is over and it seems like all the sudden everyone is dashing around to do their Christmas shopping.

More importantly, it's time for Holiday cards!

Way back when in the day when we had just Drama Queen & Attitude King, I used to buy regular Christmas cards then go get the kids pictures done and stuff the pictures into the cards.  Ha, who does that anymore?

Now, I tend to order Christmas cards online and have the pictures (normally that I take because heck I'm always taking pictures, might as well use them!) put directly on the cards. It just seems simpler to upload pictures and create my own cards, plus then I get exactly what I want.

So I've been browsing Shutterfly's offerings this holiday season. I think I've narrowed it down to 1 or 10.. lol.. It's hard to pick just one that I am deeply in love with.  On the first page alone, I can find 3-4 that I love.  To limit myself, I only viewed the folded cards.. I can't imagine if I looked at ALL of the options.

I've decided that you guys should help.. Vote in the comments for your favorite (of my favorites) card that you think I should pick this year!  *samples are not my family but the default family that Shutterfly has in their advertising.*    I promise to come back and share my real card once it's done! :)

And then just to mix things up.. I also had to take a peek at the birth announcements.  The boys are being adopted this month and all.  I found one that I think is absolutely adorable and could possibly be customized properly to work for a double adoption (as long as the top words can be changed, which I haven't checked yet)...
cute, right?!
So many cards, so little time.. Vote and tell me your favorites ;)  Momma needs some help!

*Disclosure : I am being compensated with 50free cards from Shutterfly for this post. All opinions are 100% my own.  Also - all card images were taken from Shutterfly's website and are property of them.

Celebrating Adoption @ Disney -update

It's been a little while since we've updated the whole Pocket Change to Disney Adoption Celebration fund..  Mainly because there's just not been a lot to say.  We dump our change in the jar but have had to *ahem* borrow from the fund a time or two.  School books, cold weather & everyone needing more warm clothes because everyone has outgrown every freakin thing they owned from last year..  You get the picture.

Finally I have an update- albeit a small one.  We have advanced from $161.11 to $190.05.  Yeah, not much but it'd look like a lot more if you take into account that I stripped the account clean and built it back up again.. lol!

I just checked in and found out that we have $9 coming from August sign ups to the HauteLook program (<~~~left sidebar of family blog, come on you know you wanna).  That means three of you registered for an account! You are AWESOME!  Thanks so much !  Reports for September aren't out yet so I don't know if anyone signed up then yet. Anyhoo, when that check comes, I'll be tossing it directly into the Disney 2011 fund! yay!  Remember, if you haven't already registered -it's free and it gives me $3 for every person the registers. You don't have to buy anything! You do have to click on the link (see sidebar on family blog) though in order for me to get credit !  All $$ goes directly into the Disney Adoption Celebration Fund :)

Dream Big !!
